Spring has sprung, Friends! And there’s a Spring in my step, owing to the fabu deals out there. Want to imbibe in San Francisco? Pedal through Paris? Come with me!

Hooch-y Coochy!

A ROARING AFFAIR Calling all flappers and dapper gents: Howzabout lapping up some giggle water at one of San Francisco’s swankiest gin mills? Celebrating its 80th anniversary, the Sir Francis Drake Hotel (450 Powell Street) is offering The Ultimate Prohibition Package, which entitlesyou to a newly renovated King Deluxe Room, valet parking, cocktails at Bar Drake (but don’tThe Prohibition Room get stewed to the hat), and a $50 dining credit. Topping it off is a tour of “The Prohibition Room,” a former speak-easy and den of iniquity frequented by bootleggers, vamps, jazz babies and their goofs in the 1920s and ’30s. Afterward: Get hot! Get hot! (dance the Charleston, that is), at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room on the 21st floor. Total number of bricks for this one? A mere $209, double occupancy, to start with. Copacetic!

Follow the Feet

A TWINKLE-TOES AFFAIR Heaven, you’ll be in heaven—on the Queen Mary 2, home to Singles Travel International’s Dance Cruise (July 8–15). Now before I go any further, let me clarify: “Singles” does not—repeat not—refer to matchmaking but to anyone traveling solo, and in this case, anyone who also likes to trip the light fantastic. Departing from Brooklyn, New York, the seven-day voyage includes daily dance lessons (“one, two, cha cha cha”) and nightly dancing to a full orchestra in what is billed as the largest ballroom at sea. Take that, “Dancing With the Stars”! During the crossing you can dine at eight restaurants, take in a show and swill Wanda’s fave of faves, Veuve Clicquot. Think of it as a taste of your destination . . . Paree, where you can practice your best American in Paris moves. The trip starts at $1,699, but do look into optional value packages. Rates are per person based on double occupancy.

Vélo to-Go

Hôtel Plaza AthénéeA FREEWHEELING AFFAIR Laissez les bons temps rouler, mes amis—and I mean that literally! Next time you’re in Paris, check into the Hôtel Plaza Athénée (25 avenue Montaigne, 8th arrondissement) and ask the concierge about the hotel’s bicycle program. Now, we all adore wandering about the City of Light on foot, but think of the excitement of pedaling on its streets—not to mention saving your tootsies from some wear and tear—on a bright red bicyclette! Equipped with red cloth panniers on either side (to hold those shopping bags from Chanel and Dior . . . and a baguette or two), the bike is both chic and pratique. And so will you be, in a matching red helmet, with a gold bike lock dangling from your neck. Room rates at the Plaza Athenée start at €595 (US$862) for a single, €760 (US$1,101) for a double.

Oceans Twelve

A FISHY AFFAIR This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarium, mates! And the largest one in the world—the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. You can take in all of its marine wonders, thanks to Twelve Centennial Park (400 West Peachtree Street). The new downtown hotel is offering a Beluga Package, starting at $219, which includes a one-bedroom suite; two adult VIP tix, good any time, to the aquarium; and valet parking. If you have little ones in tow, consider the Whale Shark Package I ($259 for a one-bedroom suite) or Whale Shark Package II ($359 for a two-bedroom suite), which also includes tix for the kids, natch, and a plush toy of the aquarium’s mascot, Deepo. Now that’s worth finagling!

WHERE'S WANDA? Dressed in her kimono for the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival (April 18–20) at the Seattle Center (305 Harrison Street). Celebrating Japan’s ties to the city, the festival features Japanese food, taiko drums, tea-ceremony demonstrations, artwork and, of course, the lovely cherry blooms everywhere. I’ll be sampling some tasty eats, so just call me . . . Yum-Yum! Info: 206-684-7200 or www.seattlecenter.com.

Get Down!

A SPORTING AFFAIR OK, all you featherweights: Get ready to slug out any sibling rivalries or pent-up frustration with your significant other in one of two Pillow Games, courtesy of The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach (100 South Ocean Boulevard, Manalapan, Florida). Couples can vent some healthy aggression with “Passionate Exchange,” and Mom, Dad and the kids can engage in “Family Pillow Fight.” Both include 30 tiny silk pillows, music to get the round started and miniature boxing gloves. The only difference? “Family Pillow Fight” comes with milk and cookies, and a sweet treat for the champion, while “Passionate Exchange” offers champagne and chocolate—well worth putting up a fight for, I’d say. The fee is $60; nightly rates start at $699 through May, and drop to $399 June through September.
