GOLF on the Fly

Say you’re headed for Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to catch a weekday night flight when the golf bug bites. No problem. Just swing over to
Crosswinds Golf Club, four minutes from the terminal, where a sporty par-3, nine-hole course is lighted until 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. The semi-private club—which alsooffers an 18-hole layout, practice range, restaurant and “19th hole”—does a briskbusiness among the jet set, many of whom are on their way to the first tee within minutes of landing. The par-3 course’s greens fees run $13 during the day and $15at night; $6 for a cart and $15 for rental clubs.—Jolee Edmondson
